Tirzah Baluch is a freelance collaborative pianist committed to nurturing musical growth and creativity through dynamic partnerships with fellow musicians. Her goal is to expand the possibilities of musical expression by creating meaningful, collaborative experiences that enrich and elevate the artistry of all involved.
Biography
Tirzah Baluch discovered her passion for the piano in Dubai at the age of four, a love that has only deepened over the years. As a teenager, she embarked on a flourishing performance career, gracing esteemed venues such as the Art Institute of Chicago and New York’s Carnegie Hall. In 2016, she showcased her talent by performing Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Carolina Youth Symphony Orchestra. Her international performances include appearances at the University of Taipei and Palm Island in Dubai.
In 2018, Baluch returned to Carnegie Hall to perform Mozart’s Requiem, marking another significant milestone in her career. That same year, she began her studies under Kwan Yi at Eastern Carolina University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance in 2022. Currently, she is pursuing a Master’s in Collaborative Piano at Appalachian State University with Dr. Catherine Garner, with an expected graduation in 2025.
Beyond her solo performances, Baluch boasts extensive experience in collaborative piano. As a graduate assistant at Appalachian State, she provides accompaniment to both vocalists and instrumentalists. Since 2012, she has also enriched church services across North Carolina with her piano skills. Additionally, Baluch has collaborated with various vocal and instrumental groups, performing works such as Orff’s Carmina Burana with the Appalachian Chorale and Sondheim’s A Little Night Music with the Appalachian Opera Workshop.
Tirzah Baluch continues to inspire audiences with her dedication, versatility, and exceptional musicianship, both on stage and in collaborative settings.In her free time, Tirzah immerses herself in composing original music, finding creative inspiration through her work. She also enjoys unwinding with video games, appreciating their artistry and storytelling. Additionally, she has a keen interest in criminal research and devotes time to deepening her understanding of law and justice, combining curiosity with a passion for lifelong learning.
